Juventus and Sassuolo directors will meet today to discuss Manuel Locatelli. The Italy international prefers a move to Juventus over Arsenal, but that’s not enough to finalise the deal.

The 23-year-old is one of the hottest commodities in the summer transfer window and his two goals during UEFA Euro 2020 have enhanced the interest in the product of Milan academy, who is expected to leave Sassuolo in the summer.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com, Juventus and Sassuolo directors will meet today to discuss the future of the EURO 2020 winner.

The Neroverdi value Locatelli at €40m, which is the sum Arsenal have put on the table to sign the Italian midfielder.

According to several reports, the Gunners are ready to pay the transfer fee by the end of the year, signing the player on a permanent deal.

However, Locatelli wants to play Champions League football and join the Bianconeri, which are believed to be his favourite club, so the Old Lady is confident the agreement will eventually be finalised.

The Serie A giants want to add a player to a cash offer in the region of €30m signing Locatelli on loan with an obligation to buy.

That’s the same formula they used one year ago to sign Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina, but Sassuolo don’t seem to be keen to accept. Therefore talks between the two clubs are still ongoing.
