Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi and Thomas Frank almost came to blows and had to be separated during last night’s Premier League clash between Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion.

The former Sassuolo boss was involved in a touchline row with his Danish counterpart, who appeared to disturb one of De Zerbi’s players before a throw in.

They almost came to blows with players who had to intervene to separate them. Both coaches were booked and shook hands after the referee’ had shown them a yellow card.

“I don’t like when the coach touches my player or when the other coach speaks with my player because I never speak with the players from the other team, but this isn’t a problem,” De Zerbi explained at a post-match interview with Sky Sports UK.

De Zerbi has collected one point in three Premier League games so far, drawing against Liverpool away in his debut and losing the following two against Antonio Conte’s Tottenham and Brentford.
