According to Sky Sport Italia, a potential swap deal involving Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and Barcelona‘s Franck Kessié depends on the Catalans who would have to convince the ex-Milan star.

Kessie joined Barcelona on a free transfer from Milan last summer, but the Catalans are in talks with Inter over a potential swap deal involving the Ivory Coast international and Brozovic.

First and foremost, it’s a deal that would benefit the two clubs economically and according to Gazzetta, Inter would only complete it if their midfielder is valued more than Kessie.

According to Sky Sport Italia’s latest report, Barcelona contacted Inter to offer them the potential deal and it’s now up to them to convince Kessie that he is no longer in the club’s plans, just six months after signing a contract until June 2026.

Brozovic is a regular starter at the Stadio Meazza but has been struggling with injuries this term and Simone Inzaghi has been able to replace him through Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Hakan Calhanoglu.

Both players earn €6.5m, but Kessie’s deal comes with bonuses for €1m, while Brozo’s salary already includes add-ons.
