With the Serie A summer transfer window opening tomorrow, a number of players have entered the last day of their contracts in the Italian topflight.

Free agents play an important role in the transfer market in Italy, with financial limitations stopping clubs from paying the kind of fees seen in rival leagues like England or Germany, making loans or free transfers far more accessible.

The Serie A summer transfer window opens tomorrow, allowing clubs to start completing business ahead of the 2023-24 season. The expectation for this summer is that Italian sides will be looking to sell more than buy, with stars like Federico Chiesa and Andre Onana available for purchase.
