Davide Frattesi has been back in training with Inter following the injury he picked up heading into the Nerazzurri’s 1-0 win over Juventus last weekend, but it remains to be seen when he will be available again to coach Simone Inzaghi.

Frattesi was in the squad for the game against Juventus on February 4, but remained an unused substitute due to concerns over his condition.

A few days later, Inter confirmed that Frattesi had suffered an injury to the rectus femoris muscle in his quadricep, and that he would likely miss out on the trip to the Stadio Olimpico, where Inter beat Roma 4-2 on Saturday.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Frattesi has been doing well since his return to training a few days ago, and that a return to action for Inter’s upcoming Serie A match against Salernitana at San Siro this weekend is not out of the question.

However, with Inter having such a commanding lead at the top of the Serie A table, it is also likely that Inzaghi decides not to risk him too soon.

If that is the case, then next Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid, also at San Siro, is a possible return date for Frattesi.
