Inter remain the favourite to win the Serie A title in 2024-25, but all their opponents, starting with Milan, are getting reinforcements, hoping to prevent the Nerazzurri from winning a second consecutive Scudetto. But are the Rossoneri doing enough in the summer transfer window?

Inter’s title win in 2023-24 was a historic achievement, not only because the Nerazzurri put their hands on a second star but also because they did so before their city rivals Milan.

The Nerazzurri have a new owner this season, but they’ve given continuity to the sporting project. Former CEO Beppe Marotta was named club president, and Simone Inzaghi extended his contract, welcoming three new signings, Mehdi Taremi, Piotr Zielinski, and Josep Martinez, in time for the start of the preseason.

All Inter opponents are going the opposite way, with drastic on-the-pitch changes, new coaches, and, in some cases, many new signings. Juventus appointed Thiago Motta, Napoli picked Antonio Conte, and Milan opted for ex-Roma boss Paulo Fonseca.

Inter are still favourite, but betting odds suggest that bookmakers expect an exciting Scudetto race. In this regard, bovadapromocodes.com is dedicated to listing the latest bonuses when you want to place your bet and predict the Serie A title winner in 2024-25.

Milan will surely be in the race.

The Rossoneri have signed Alvaro Morata to replace Olivier Giroud and hope to add Strahinja Pavlovic and Youssouf Fofana soon. The Serbian centre-back and the French defensive midfielder would allow the Rossoneri to keep things tighter at the back after conceding way too many goals under Stefano Pioli in 2023-24.

“I think there is a gap between Inter and Milan as the Nerazzurri are currently better equipped,” Arrigo Sacchi recently told Gazzetta.

“Milan are getting new players, but they won’t be enough. They must find a playing style that suits the team, with clear ideas and style. Fonseca’s role will be crucial. He’s the one who must decide what to do in the transfer window because he has the technical responsibility of the group.

“Aside from choosing the most suitable players, he must consider their mentality as well. He will need reliable players who give their all on the pitch and I hope club directors will support him.”

Sacchi’s successor on the Milan bench, Fabio Capello, feels exactly the same.

“If Milan sign Fofana and Pavlovic, they’ll complete two important signings who will join a great striker like Morata who can score consistently and help in defence.

“However, aside from new signings, Fonseca must find a tactical balance when the team don’t have possession. Last season, opponents were very dangerous every time they had the ball. Leao is a top player with the ball at his feet, but he doesn’t defend much when opponents attack. This is why Fofana would be useful. Milan will be on the right path with Fofana and Pavlovic, but there is still a gap with Inter.”
