Milan are set to miss out on Nikola Vlasic as the CSKA Moscow midfielder will join West Ham on a permanent deal, it’s reported.

The Rossoneri had been in talks to sign the creative attacking midfielder this summer. He had even given his green light to move to San Siro, but the two clubs never reached an agreement over the player’s transfer fee.

Now, according to Calciomercato.com, West Ham and CSKA Moscow have shaken hands on the player’s price tag, so Vlasic is set to move to East London.

According to the report, the 23-year-old will join West Ham for €28m plus bonuses. Only the last few details are being finalised, but Vlasic is virtually a new West Ham player.

Milan remain on the lookout for a new attacking midfielder to replace Hakan Calhanoglu.

Brahim Diaz has returned to Milan on a two-year loan deal with an option to buy, but the Diavoli coach Stefano Pioli wants one more player, so Milan and are in talks with Porto for Jesus Corona and Crotone for Junior Messias.

6 thought on “West Ham beat Milan to signing of Vlasic”
  1. How can we ‘miss out’ or be beaten to his signature when we clearly never entertained exaggerated transfer fees?

  2. No huge loss. Buying Corona or Messias would be ridiculous. Neither is good enough. Much like Bakayoko, buying for the sake of it.

  3. Don’t think this player is that good, but it is painful to see mediocre teams like West Ham taking players like nothing. Definitely something is really wrong in Europe…
