Fans are divided over Francesco Acerbi’s late winner in the 4-3 win over Spezia, suggesting that it was clearly offside.
The 34-year-old Italian centre back scored a header from a rebound to gift Lazio a win following an incredibly difficult 90 minutes in Liguria. Whilst the players and Biancocelesti fans celebrated widely, many began to raise their eyebrows.
Acerbi may be in an offside position when the initial shot is struck, appearing to stand behind the goalkeeper and the Spezia defensive line. As the race for 5th heats up between Lazio and Roma, moments like this could turn the tide.

Remove completely offside rule ….. it makes no sense at all …… in no way does it help to make football more entertaining ……
Simply abolish it once and for all ……
Michele, then it would change football completely. The defenders would never go forward and the strikers would camp in front of the penalty area. It would be worse. Tactics also would go out of the window, anarchy play style would be played.
