Paulo Dybala has returned to Rome following his World Cup win with Argentina, greeting cheering fans at Fiumicino Airport.

The 29-year-old forward did not feature heavily for the Albiceleste in Qatar, only playing 17 minutes of action across the semi-finals and final, but he did score in the decisive shoot-out against France, making his small contribution to his nation’s success.

Dybala had a brief holiday following the World Cup but returned to Rome this morning, ready to restart work with Jose Mourinho and his teammates ahead of the second half of the season. The 29-year-old will be hoping to feature in Roma’s first game of 2023 against Bologna on January 4.
