Former Juventus and Roma forward Mirko Vucinic looked ahead to tonight’s clash between the two teams, paying particular attention to Paulo Dybala and Dusan Vlahovic.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side will be looking for a more exciting showing after their dreadfully dull 0-0 draw with Sampdoria last weekend, whilst Jose Mourinho’s Giallorossi will be hungry for all three points in Turin, keen to maintain momentum in the race for a top four finish.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Vucinic first tried to predict how this evening’s clash between Juventus and Roma would pan out.

“It’ll be an indecipherable match. Juventus have great players, but Roma have improved a lot and can put anyone in trouble.”

He made a comment about the strengths of the Roma attack.

“Apart from Zaniolo, Abraham has shown he’s strong. And Dybala is the player who can make the difference. His plays will drive everyone crazy.”

The former Bianconeri and Giallorossi forward spoke about the favourites for the title race this season.

“It’s difficult to pick a favourite. Milan and Inter are strong, Juve are Juve. Roma and Napoli can get in everyone’s way.”

He spoke highly about Dybala and Mourinho, remembering the Portuguese coach’s time in charge of Inter.

“I envy him, I would have liked to work with José. Against his Inter team, it was like a tank in front of us, that squad was strong psychologically, everyone gave 100%.

“Only he could bring such enthusiasm back to the city. He won a trophy, which Roma had been missing for so many years. And you never win by accident.”

Finally, Vucinic discussed the qualities of Bianconeri star Vlahovic and what he brings to the team.

“The accounts are made at the end of the season. Juve spent €70m to buy him, the price shows the value of the player. Dusan is committed and already moves like a top player.

“In addition, the Bianconeri have signed Kostic and Di Maria. They are two great players and have many assists in their feet. Vlahovic will be able to take advantage of that.”
