The summer signing from Roma picked up the award for the fifth time in six editions, beating Fiorentina’s” data-scaytid=”4″>Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic to the top prize.

“As always, it is a great honour to be considered as the best in my country,” the international striker noted.

“The Montenegro side had a very eventful 2011 which unfortunately didn’t have a happy ending, but I hope we can take a step forward in the next qualifying campaign for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.”

Montenegro lost out in the play-offs for Euro 2012.

The Montenegro Football Federation organise the Player of the Year ceremony by asking the Coaches and captains of the country’s 12 First Division clubs to vote.
