Dusan Vlahovic has been involved in five goals in the last four Serie A appearances and got a standing ovation at the Allianz Stadium last night when he was subbed off in the dying minutes.

The Serbia international inspired Juventus‘ 3-0 victory over Sassuolo on Tuesday with an impressive first-half brace. The first was an effort from outside the box, while the second came from a free-kick that even left some of his teammates stunned.

As reported by Opta, Vlahovic has now been involved in five goals in the last four league appearances. He has turned back the clock in Turin as the last time he accomplished something similar was between November and December 2021, when he was playing for Fiorentina.

Vlahovic joined Juventus in an €80m deal from the Tuscans the following January.

Opta also reports that Vlahovic is the fastest player to score a brace with goals from outside the box for Juventus from the start of a Serie A match since 2004-05.

Juventus fans loved to see Vlahovic in superb form last night and gave him a loud standing ovation at minute 82 when Massimiliano Allegri took him off the pitch to make him rest, introducing Arkadiusz Milik.
