“We met with Inter again and are evaluating every aspect,” Bologna Vice-President Maurizio Setti told SportItalia.
“We are confident. If we reach an agreement then everyone will be happy, otherwise we'll go to the blind auction.”
It's reported this evening that the final attempt at a deal has collapsed, so the auction will be held tomorrow.
There is a third club interested too, as if Bologna do sign Viviano completely, they will immediately sell him on to Roma.
“Talks are at an advanced stage with Roma and we are finalising the terms, but they are not the only club interested.”
Meanwhile, Inter and Bologna have agreed to renew their co-ownership of midfielder Rene Khrin for another season.
