Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella has confirmed that first choice goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano will again be on the bench this weekend.

The Italian international arrived at his hometown club in the summer from Palermo, but his form has been mixed.

Montella has opted to field Norberto Neto in between the posts over the last two encounters and his displays has been good enough for him to retain his place against Palermo.

“I think Neto has done really well over the last two games,” the former Roma and Catania tactician commented.

“I believe that it would be the right decision to stick with him. He’s a hard worker, as well as an alert and reactive goalkeeper.”

Neto, 23, has only played in three Serie A games since his arrival from Atletico Paranaense in January 2011.
