Former Italy striker Bobo Vieri thinks Christian Eriksen will leave Inter in January and says Paulo Dybala is 'a problem' Andrea Pirlo must solve.

The 47-year-old spoke about the Serie A title race in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“There is a lot of time left before the end of the League, 28 games, almost an entire season,” the former striker said.

Vieri believes Juventus, Milan and Inter are not the only credible contenders for the Scudetto.

“I’d also add Napoli, Lazio and maybe Atalanta.”

Inter were eliminated from the Champions League and must focus on the Serie A title, but Vieri says they are not obliged to win it.

“Conte has a very strong team, they will play once a week now, so they can make it, but they are not obliged.

“They’ll give it all to win the Scudetto, but I believe a club like Inter must always play the Champions League, it’s in their DNA.

“When I hear Inter do not have quality, I say that it’s a lie. They have enough to beat Shakhtar. If they won against Borussia Monchengladbach, somehow they should have won also the decisive game for the Last 16.”

Is Antonio Conte being too irritable?

“That’s who Conte is. I’ve never seen him relaxed, doesn’t matter if he wins 5-0 or loses 3-0.

“A coach should be able to change things when they don’t go well. From what we see, Conte doesn’t do it all the time and I’d like to see Christiano Eriksen play more.

"He could really help Inter, but it is the coach who sees him every day, we can only judge what we see from the outside. I think Eriksen will leave in January.”

Was he surprised to see Juve beat Barcelona?

“No, they can beat anyone, they have players like Cristiano Ronaldo. There are no limits with a player like him.

“Juventus played some games without him and failed to win. They depend on him a little bit, but where’s the surprise? Do Barcelona not depend on Messi? And if [Romelu] Lukaku doesn’t play, don’t Inter feel it?”

Vieri is not surprised by Alvaro Morata either.

“I’ve been following him for years. He used to be a classic goal-scorer, who played mostly inside the area. Now he plays with the team, he keeps the ball possession, he knows when to pass it and when to attack. He’s improved a lot and the reason is simple, he made experience around Europe.”

The Spaniard is a regular starter in Juventus’ attack along with Cristiano Ronaldo. How about Paulo Dybala?

“It’s a problem of our friend [Andrea] Pirlo, he has to deal with it," Vieri replied.

“If Juventus chose Pirlo, it means they trust him and his ideas, now he has to pass them onto his team.”
