A video of Sandro Tonali arguing with Denzel Dumfries during the Milan derby has gone viral, justifying comparisons with Rossoneri legend Gennaro Gattuso.
Although many saw and still see Tonali as the ‘next Andrea Pirlo,’ Tonali has often claimed that he saw Gattuso as his role model.
The Italy international has more quality than the Rossoneri legend, but his temper seems to be just the same as Gattuso. That was pretty clear in a video that has gone viral on social media.
The video shows Tonali defending his teammate Theo Hernandez, who Dumfries urged to stand up and resume the game.

Last season Sandro was a bit off the boil and you could see he wasn’t confident. This season he has so much desire and the confidence is flowing from him. He has every reason to dream of aspiring to be at the level of 2 Rossoneri icons.
He does have a temper and it needs to come down, otherwise I am afraid he could be getting quite a few red cards. One of the reasons we didn’t do too well against Northern Ireland in Belfast was his yellow card in the first half and then it stopped him playing as he was afraid to be sent off, hence Mancio took him off. Milan and Italy cannot afford that kind of behaviour. By all means be strong but do not do fouls or arguments that could cause you yellow or red cards!
