According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Roma are considering fining Nicolò Zaniolo and Stephan El Shaarawy, who went clubbing after the Giallorossi’s 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona on Saturday.

Both players are currently injured and were not available for Saturday’s match at the Stadio Olimpico. They also had a day off on Saturday, so on paper, they did nothing wrong by going clubbing in a disco nearby the Stadio Olimpico after Roma’s 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona.

However, Roma announced four COVID cases on Friday and had asked their players to take extra care, especially in public events. According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Roma could fine their two strikers and will make a decision after Tiago Pinto’s meeting with them today.

The report specifies that a fine is ‘improbable but remains an option.’

Zaniolo, 22, has scored four goals and delivered five assists in 28 appearances across all competitions this season. His compatriot El Shaarawy, 29, managed six goals and one assist in 25 games this term.
