Roma fans waited outside the training ground to insult the players driving out after Jose Mourinho’s dismissal, but did have positive chants for new coach Daniele De Rossi.
The decision was announced this morning and a visibly upset Mourinho saluted the fans when leaving Trigoria for the last time.
De Rossi held his first training session this afternoon and circa 50 supporters waited outside the gates for the players to leave.

They were pelted with insults, including ‘We only cheer for the shirt’ and ‘Show some balls’ as their cars drove past.
However, there was a positive chant for new coach De Rossi, who was a Romanista born and bred moving up through the youth academy to become captain.
Had the club chosen anyone other than De Rossi, there might’ve been a far more furious response from the supporters to Mourinho’s sacking.
There will reportedly be no presentation press conference for the new coach, he will just have a regular meeting with the media ahead of his debut against Verona.
