New Roma coach Daniele De Rossi has held his first training session and put together his staff, including several committed Giallorossi supporters.

The former captain was given the job today after the decision to sack Jose Mourinho and arrived at Trigoria this afternoon for his first meeting with the squad.

That was documented by the official Roma social media channels with images and video.

It was a new introduction for some players, such as Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku, but a very familiar greeting for others who had been his teammate until his departure in 2019.

They include Lorenzo Pellegrini, Bryan Cristante, Stephan El Shaarawy and Rick Karsdorp.

Meanwhile, the details have been released of De Rossi’s staff at Roma and he has tried to pack the group with those who, like him, grew up supporting the Giallorossi.

The assistant manager is Guillermo Giacomazzi, match analyst Francesco Checcucci, fitness coach Giovanni Brignardello, goalkeeping coach Simone Farelli and technical collaborator Emanuele Mancini.

Roma really is a family affair now, as Daniele’s father Alberto De Rossi was for many years the coach of the Primavera youth team and is now the director of development.
