Referee Juan Luca Sacchi had some words of advice for Udinese forward Gerard Deulofeu during the game with Inter, screaming ‘calm down’ in his face.
Udinese were 2-0 down at San Siro when Deulofeu had the ball in the net, but it was ruled offside.
The player was furious at the decision and raged at the referee.
Sacchi was determined to put a lid on the situation and told Deulofeu to calm down.
It might be hard to believe, but that is what the referee said, three times: ‘Stai Calmo.’
Admittedly, the way he said that gave off a sense of anything but calm, but it proved effective.
