Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba posted a video of himself running on an anti-gravity treadmill as part of the recovery from a knee injury, using machinery designed by NASA.

The France international opted against surgery for a torn meniscus in his knee during pre-season and began an intensive five-week period of rehabilitation.

As seen in his Instagram post, that includes running on the anti-gravity treadmill, which uses NASA Differential Air Pressure technology.

That allows him to run without putting all his body’s weight on to the knees, reducing body weight to only circa 20 per cent of its usual impact.

It is achieved by zipping the lower half of the body into an airtight compartment that includes the treadmill and special shorts.
