Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini recorded a video message for the fans after the Europa League Final defeat to Sevilla, but did not mention the attack on referee Anthony Taylor.

The Giallorossi were held to a 1-1 draw in Budapest on Wednesday, losing the match and the trophy – along with it the chance to qualify for the Champions League – on a penalty shoot-out.

That game had some controversial incidents, but still did not justify the actions of coach Jose Mourinho and then the Roma fans who accosted Taylor at the airport.

One was even arrested for throwing a chair at the referee and his family.
