Jose Mourinho said goodbye to Roma fans with a moving compilation of his greatest moments at the club. ‘Sweat, blood, tears, joy, sadness, love, brothers, history, heart, eternity.’

The coach had said multiple times that he wanted to remain beyond the expiry of his contract in June 2024, but was instead fired by owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin this morning.

He waited until this evening to comment on social media with an Instagram video putting together some of his most moving moments, including the Conference League triumph and banners from the fans.

It was all played to the music from Gladiator, sung by Andrea Bocelli.

The words he wrote in the post were a stream of consciousness poem dedicated to the Giallorossi.

“Sweat, blood, tears, joy, sadness, love, brothers, history, heart, eternity.”

  1. Yes, he was controversial, but he GAVE Roma 1st ever European trophy, while even Capello with one of the strongest Roma team could not. Now, we’re back to banter (and feeder) club.
