Milan fans descended on Via Aldo Rossi in the northern sector of the city on Monday morning as the first batch of tickets were released for the Champions League semi-final against Inter at San Siro.

The initial release was made available exclusively to season ticket holders, of which there are 41,500.

Those who hold a Cuore Rossonero card were able to reserve their place for the European edition of the Derby della Madonnina from 11.00 UK time and sales will be suspended from 22.59 (23.59 local time) on Wednesday night.

Whilst tickets were available to purchase online, it is expected that thousands of fans will have made their way to the Milan ticket office to buy them in-person.

The first groups of fans had queued up from the early hours of Monday morning to ensure they got their hands on the prized tickets, as can be seen below.
