Tensions were running high at the Stadio Maradona, as Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti and Milan director Paolo Maldini got into a heated argument about Rafael Leao.
The incident occurred as the two teams were coming back out for the second half, with the Rossoneri leading 2-0.
Leao had opened the scoring before Brahim Diaz doubled it, but it was the Portuguese striker’s celebration that caused the problem.
He made a sort of clown face towards the home fans and was already told off for it by coach Stefano Pioli.
It seems Spalletti tried to bring it up again at half-time, prompting Maldini to intervene and protect his player.
“Mister, you are irritable, but you’ve already won the league… what the **** do you want?”
