Hundreds of Fiorentina fans welcomed their players at the train station last night to celebrate their 3-2 win over Napoli.

The Tuscans shocked the Azzurri with a 3-2 victory at the Stadio Maradona yesterday, which allowed Vincenzo Italiano’s side to move two points off a Europa League spot with a game in hand. At the moment, they’d be qualified for the Conference League with Atalanta out from Europe. Players received a hero’s welcome at the Campo Di Marte train station in Florence yesterday.

Hundreds of Viola fans welcomed Italiano and his players to celebrate with them, giving the team an extra push in their race for a European spot.

“It means a lot to win this game, we played a great match against a top team,” club director Joe Barone told Calciomercato.com.

“Now we have an important match against Venezia and it will be important to feel the affection from ourfans. Tomorrow we will announce a training open for fans. We want to focus on one game at a time.”

  1. What’s wrong with celebrating a nice win? Get off your high horse, Fino alla fine.

BTW, Napoli was the LEADER last week, not 3rd.

  2. Well Said B2
What’s wrong with celebrating a win no matter who it is again, as long as the team play really well. Also lets just point out how far this Viola team has come this season, When they first met Napoli at home this season they lost and managed to get an away win in the return leg, that’s worth celebrating on it’s own, never mind the whole team pulling together to put in a great performance.
