Federico Chiesa, Angel Di Maria and Alex Sandro have arrived for medical assessments at Juventus’ facility, JMedical after a 1-0 win against Freiburg in Europa League.

Chiesa picked up an injury minutes after being brought on for Dusan Vlahovic 67 minutes into Juve’s 1-0 win over SC Freiburg in the Europa League Round of 16 clash on Thursday evening.

Fifteen minutes after coming on, Chiesa fell to the floor in pain, clutching his right knee.

With Massimiliano Allegri having used all of his three slots for substitutions, Chiesa remained on the pitch for the remainder of the game in an attempt to avoid reducing the Bianconeri to 10 men.

Chiesa has only recently returned to action following a lengthy rehabilitation process whilst recovering from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury to his left knee.

The Azzurri star was due for examinations on his knee in Turin on Friday morning to assess the full extent of the damage.

Di Maria was also due in for an assessment at JMedical this morning, he was seen touching his adductor in the closing stages of the game against Freiburg.

The 35-year-old Argentine bagged the only goal of the game in the 1-0 win over Freiburg and it is hoped that his slight struggle towards the end of the game was nothing too serious.

Di Maria was shown walking perfectly naturally as he arrived at Juventus’ medical centre and was seen leaving the facility less than 40 minutes later.

Alex Sandro was also spotted heading into JMedical on Friday morning.  The Brazilian had started against Freiburg despite not being fully fit, but suffered an injury in the first half and was immediately replaced by Leonardo Bonucci.

It is yet to be seen whether any of the three will be involved in their upcoming Serie A game against Sampdoria on Sunday evening.
