New Milan owner Gerry Cardinale was in the stands at San Siro for the derby win over Inter, then visited the training ground today to meet with the squad, coach and directors.

The takeover by American investment fund RedBird was finally completed this week and Cardinale celebrated by attending the 3-2 victory over arch-rivals Inter.

This morning he visited the Milanello training ground, as seen in a clip released by the club’s social media, showing him meeting with coach Stefano Pioli, directors Paolo Maldini, Frederic Massara and Ivan Gazidis, then giving a speech to the players.

He has reportedly now flown back to the United States.

  1. I hope he makes a sacrifice and keeps Leao. I would like to see 2 or 3 more Italian internationals in the team also. We can’t keep shopping at the bargain basement.
