Roma and England striker Tammy Abraham ended his drought after two months in Serie A with a towering header against Sassuolo.

The 25-year-old had been losing his confidence and guilty of some absolutely shocking misses in the Giallorossi jersey this season.

He was dropped for this evening’s trip to Sassuolo, but when called off the bench to contribute by Jose Mourinho, Abraham rose to meet Gianluca Mancini’s cross and open the scoring.

It was his first Serie A goal since the 2-1 win over Empoli on September 12, ending a run of seven league games without finding the net.

Perhaps it will be in time to earn Abraham a spot in England’s World Cup squad.
