The 27-year-old has been increasingly linked with a move away from the Bianconeri this summer, with Manchester United seen as leading the way.

Despite comments to the contrary from both the player and director general Marotta, the pair are expected to meet on Monday with Coach Allegri to specifically discuss his future.

Vidal is back at Juve’s training base today to start pre-season preparations with the squad, but is also due to hold an off-field meeting with management.

Allegri is expected to use the first meeting in person at Vinovo to explain to the player that he is central to his plans in the team and that he will take on an even more decisive role on the pitch.

Meanwhile, Marotta assisted by sporting director Fabio Paratici, will reportedly use the opportunity to talk with Vidal to ‘understand his intentions’, with it seen that they are cautiously optimistic that the midfielder will reiterate his happiness to stay at the club.

However, speculation led by Tuttosport is that the club could still face a transfer request and that if this does arrive, then it will likely be down to influence from Vidal’s agent, Fernando Felicevich.
