Juventus are likely to be without Arturo Vidal for tomorrow’s clash with Atalanta, after the midfielder pulled up with a groin injury.

The Chilean midfielder complained of an inflammation to the left adductor tendon during training at Vinovo today, and sat out the afternoon session.

With Borussia Dortmund looming large on Tuesday, Vidal will almost certainly not be risked for tomorrow’s match at Juventus Stadium.

With Borussia Dortmund looming large on Tuesday, Vidal will almost certainly not be risked for tomorrow’s match at Juventus Stadium.

That in itself presents problems for the Bianconeri, with Andrea Pirlo likely to be rested ahead of the Champions League match, and Paul Pogba only a booking away from missing the potentially crucial match at Roma next weekend.

It had been thought the Frenchman would start from the bench, however, it seems unlikely that Allegri will start the match missing three of his four starting midfielders.

TuttoJuve reports that Stefano Sturaro could come in for a first start, but unless the Old Lady revert to a 3-5-2, Pogba is likely to start.

Mediaset suggests that Vidal is unlikely to miss the visit of Jurgen Klopp’s men in midweek, but will undergo a precautionary scan this afternoon.
