Former Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has finally paid the debt he owed on four Italian properties.

Marca reported on Tuesday that Vidal had the buildings, situated in the Torinese town of Moncalieri, repossessed after he failed to repay a sum in excess of €18,000.

However, the newspaper is now claiming the Barcelona man settled the debt on Wednesday morning through a bank transfer.

However, the newspaper is now claiming the Barcelona man settled the debt on Wednesday morning through a bank transfer.

He would have paid the figure ‘as a gesture of goodwill’ so the case can be closed and that his properties are not auctioned off.

Nonetheless, Marca adds the 31-year-old must now make a similar payment to the €18,489 he owed, which will cover the costs incurred by the judicial process.
