They report FIGC President Gabriele Gravina hosted him at the federation’s offices in Rome on Thursday, while the former Juventus striker would also be an ambassador at Euro 2020.

Vialli scored 16 goals in 59 caps for Italy, helping them reach the semi-finals of the 1988 European Championship.

However, he is arguably best known for spearheading Sampdoria’s attack with Mancini between 1984 and 1992, a period which yielded the Blucerchiati’s only Scudetto in 1991 and a European Cup Final a year later.

It comes less than three months after the ex-Chelsea boss revealed he had battled cancer in secret.
