Marco Verratti and Gianluca Caprari are working separately from the Italy squad due to fitness concerns, while the five Roma players will join Roberto Mancini’s side tomorrow.

The Azzurri are preparing for the June 1 Finalissima against Argentina at Wembley Stadium, a game organised between the European Championship winners and Copa America holders.

After that, there will be the opening four Nations League matches against Germany, Hungary and England.

Domenico Berardi and Andrea Pinamonti left the squad due to injuries, with PSG midfielder Verratti and Verona forward Caprari training separately from the rest of their teammates today.

On Sunday, the five Roma players will arrive at the Coverciano ground, having been given extra time off to play the Conference League Final.

They are Gianluca Mancini, Nicolò Zaniolo, Bryan Cristante, Leonardo Spinazzola and Lorenzo Pellegrini.

The game against Argentina will be Giorgio Chiellini’s final appearance for Italy before he heads off to MLS and the last stage of his career at LAFC.
