The Granata were held to a 0-0 draw at the Stadio Castellani this evening, just hours after learning they’ll face Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League Round of 32.

“We got a good point against a team that is in physically great shape,” Ventura told Sky Sport Italia.

“This was our 25th game of the season and naturally we pay a price for that. We had some incredible scoring opportunities, but I can be satisfied with the result against a team that is doing very well at the moment.

“We were prepared for a tactically difficult game. Clearly we wanted the win, but that can’t always happen.”

The Coach was asked about the Europa League draw, which pits Torino against an Athletic Bilbao side that has dropped down from the Champions League.

“I thought that the draw certainly could’ve gone better for us. We were against Club Brugge in the group phase, who are top of the table in Belgium, but when Torino get it right we can challenge anyone.

“There is great respect, but we are also aware that a large chunk of this two-legged confrontation depends on us.”
