Mark Van Bommel could sign a new deal with Milan at the end of the season, his agent has suggested.

The 34-year-old will be out of contract in June and he’s been heavily paired with a return to former club PSV.

“Milan and Mark have matured a lot together,” Mino Raiola told De Teelegraf. “In principle, the intention is to continue.

“We’ll only ponder other situations if Milan don’t consider Mark as part of their plans or if the player’s family want a return to Holland.”

Van Bommel may be heading towards the end of his career, but his 20 League appearances this season underline that he is very much in the thinking of boss Massimiliano Allegri.

“I saw Mark play against Juventus” data-scaytid=”11″>Juventus,” Raiola continued. “I think he is the best player in his position in Italy.

“I think only personal reasons could see him end his adventure with Milan.”

The Dutchman joined the Diavolo in January 2011 from Bayern Munich.
