Keisuke Honda’s bitter public criticism of Milan has alerted Valencia for a possible January swoop.

The Japan international blasted the club for a lack of investment and “always the same” problems every year.

It’s reported he could well be fined for the outburst and it pushes him closer to the San Siro exit.

According to both Spanish newspaper As and Italy’s Tuttosport, Valencia are planning a January offer for Honda.

He’d have even less playing time if Milan move to a 4-4-2 system, as seems likely, and never really delivered on his potential in Serie A.

Now 29, Honda arrived in January 2014 as a free agent when his contract with CSKA Moscow expired.
