UniCredit have reportedly told Roma that they can't sign West Ham United full-back Valon Behrami in the January transfer window.
The Italian bank is currently in nominal control of the club after agreeing a debt resettlement plan with Roma President Rosella Sensi.
She will remain in her position until a new buyer is found.
In the meantime, Sensi has to run all of Roma's prospective transfers through UniCredit before getting a green light.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims a move for Behrami was ruled out because the club's priority right now is that of lowering the wage bill.
A group of Roma ultra also protested against Behrami's transfer yesterday, taking issue with his past as a Lazio player.
