Two sides in awful form look to get back to winning ways in these Udinese vs. Spezia predictions. Neither team has managed to secure a win throughout February, with Sunday’s game offering their final opportunity.

Udinese vs. Spezia odds

1 – A draw at full-time – 3/1

2 – One team to score – 13/5

3 – Udinese to win by a one-goal margin – 7/5

4 – Florian Thauvin to score first– 9/1

5 – Mbala Nzola to score anytime – 3/1

Two Serie A strugglers face off on Sunday after Udinese host Spezia at the Dacia Arena. Only Salernitana have a worse record over the past three games in Serie A, but this weekend offers a vital opportunity to put points on the board.

For Udinese, their recent run of just one win in their past 15 league games is particularly surprising given their strong start to the season which saw them win six on the bounce. However disappointing their failure to capitalise might be, the points accumulated mean that the Zebrette remain in 10th in the Serie A standings and are likely to be safe from relegation.

The same cannot be said for the visitors on Sunday. Having once commanded a vast lead over the bottom three, Spezia now have just two points separating them with the drop zone. With Verona in fine form and the two sides facing off the following week, the Aquilotti could be in real danger.

Given the significance of a defeat for both sides, a draw is our tip. This result is all the more likely as confidence is at an extreme low with results going against them in recent weeks, with Spezia sacking Luca Gotti once again in an effort to turn their fortunes around.

Past clashes with Udinese suggest that this weekend is not likely to see Fabrizio Lorieri’s side burst back into form. Recent encounters have often seen one team narrowly scrape a win with a margin of just one goal. Only one team has scored in three of the last six games, so a bet on either of these reoccurring could well pay off.

In the absence of Gerard Deulofeu, Udinese are looking to January signing Florian Thauvin to provide a spark of imagination. The Frenchman has yet to find his feet after a spell as a free agent but has undoubtedly got the ability to break the deadlock at the Dacia Arena.

For Spezia striker Mbala Nzola, the task is not about getting off the mark, but rather getting back to his prolific best. The forward made his return from injury last weekend and will be hoping to break into double digits this weekend.
