Udinese will face Braga for a place in the 2012-13 Champions League competition proper, after the Play-off draw was held today.

The Zebrette have qualified for the second successive season for the Play-off round in the Champions League, after finishing third in Serie A last term. The team were eliminated at this stage of the competition last season, losing over two legs to Arsenal.

For a place in the group stages of UEFA’s premier competition for this campaign, Francesco Guidolin’s side must defeat Braga over a two-legged tie.

The Portuguese outfit, who were also third in their League last year, finished runners up in the 2010-11 Europa League campaign to Porto, but were eliminated from the same competition last season at the Round of 32.

The ties will be played on August 21-22 and August 28-29. The 10 winners will then enter the group stage draw of the competition, alongside 22 automatically qualified clubs, including last season’s competitions winners Chelsea and Italian representatives Juventus and Milan.
