Fabio Quagliarella of Juventus is expected to be out of action for around the next 15 days following surgery.

The forward underwent a 20-minute procedure at the Fornaca clinic in Turin earlier today after he fractured his right cheekbone yesterday.

The Italian international, who began just his second League game of the season at Lecce, will be discharged tomorrow and will require complete rest for the next seven days.

He will then slowly resume training although he will have to wear a protective mask for a while once he returns to competitive action.

Quagliarella, 28, is set to miss the League matches against Cagliari and possibly Atalanta, but he may be available for the Week 20 tie against former club Udinese.

Meanwhile, Marco Borriello will be presented to the media on Tuesday after the striker arrived on loan from Roma last week.
