He will keep faith with the majority of that starting XI when he makes his competitive debut in Oslo as their Euro 2016 campaign kicks off.

Gigi Buffon will return in goal after Salvatore Sirigu was given the gloves last week, while Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi will step in for the suspended Claudio Marchisio.

Conte will continue with the Simone Zaza and Ciro Immobile strike force in his 3-5-2.

Italy have not beaten Norway away from home since a 3-1 triumph on 27 May 1937. Giuseppe Meazza and Silvio Piola (two) were on the scoresheet that day.

In the four games played in Norway since, Italy have collected two defeats and two 0-0 draws.
