Roma icon Francesco Totti is today celebrating the 20th anniversary of his first goal in Serie A.

The then 17-year-old rippled the net for his beloved Giallorossi on 4 September 1994 in a 1-1 draw against Foggia. Carlo Mazzone was the capital boss.

Since that day, the 2006 World Cup winner has bagged 235 top-flight strikes – the second highest in history behind Silvio Piola’s 290.

Only three players in history have scored goals in the Italian top Division 20 years apart. They are: Piola (23), Paolo Maldini (21) and Pietro Ferraris (20).
