It was reported this morning that the Giallorossi and their legendary captain were struggling to agree on wages for his one-year renewal, with the club offering €1m and Er Pupone demanding €3m.
“I read with amazement about the economic problems between me and Roma in relation to our future professional relationship,” Totti wrote on his official website.
“None of it is true, we’ve never even talked about that subject.”
Totti’s contract expires at the end of the season, but it’s not yet certain that he’ll be offered an extension.
However, it's expected that President James Pallotta will announce a new deal after the Genoa game tonight.
