Tuttosport newspaper reports Tottenham sounded out Gleison Bremer’s availability last summer, but Manchester United are now interested in the Brazilian centre-back.

Bremer has recently signed a contract extension until 2028 with Juventus, but his convincing performances in Turin this season have attracted interest from many European clubs.

Several sources claim Manchester United are among the clubs in the front row to sign the former Torino star, valued at €60-70m by Juventus.

Although the Serie A giants don’t want to part company with Bremer in the summer, they may be forced to listen to big-money offers to balance their books.

According to Tuttosport, Bremer was targeted by another Premier League club last summer, Tottenham, who had sounded out the defender’s availability.

However, Spurs decided not to invest a big sum in the 26-year-old, opting to get Radu Dragusin for Genoa in the 2024 January transfer window for €31m, including add-ons.

Bremer will return to Juventus’ line-up against Frosinone on Sunday after missing last week’s 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona with a one-match ban.
