Fernando Torres could make his first start for new club Milan tonight, as the Rossoneri visit newly-promoted Empoli.

Filippo Inzaghi’s side suffered their first defeat of the season in Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Juventus, and the Corriere dello Sport believes the result will be the catalyst for re-jig in the Milan line-up.

The Rome-based sports daily reports that Torres will start in the middle of a front-three, in place of Jeremy Menez, while Giacomo Bonaventura will replace Stephan El Shaarawy.

Torres joined the Diavolo on a two-year loan deal from English Premier League side Chelsea, and could be joined in the first XI this evening by fellow Stamford Bridge loanee Marco van Ginkel.

Simone Verdi is in line to start against the club that he developed at and who still have a stake in him.
