Cerci was left out of the Europa League squad against RNK Split and is still nowhere to be seen in Giampiero Ventura’s list of 20 players against Inter.

Also absent are suspended Giuseppe Vives and injured Paulo Vitor Barreto, who is out for a week with a right thigh problem.

“Now we are down to the last days and I think there won’t be time to complete a move that suits everyone in such a small space of time,” President Cairo told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The wide forward is valued at €20m and linked with Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Juventus and Inter.

He also blasted Milan, who for months have been tracking Cerci only to opt for Fernando Torres on loan.

“Milan disappeared after the first approach and I am starting to believe they were never really in the race for him.

“Cerci expressed the desire to take a great opportunity, but that has not come true. I will talk with him and we’ll reasonably discuss the future at Toro.”

Torino squad for Inter: Gillet, Padelli; Bovo, Darmian, Glik, Jansson, Maksimovic, Masiello, Molinaro, Moretti, Silva, Vesovic; Benassi, El Kaddouri, Gazzi, Nocerino, Sanchez Mino; Larrondo, Martinez, Quagliarella
