The player pulled up in training three days ago and tests showed the partial lesion of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee.
A statement released by the club confirms the prognosis is circa 25-30 days.
It therefore means Vives is unlikely to recover in time for the Turin Derby with Juventus on December 10.
