Torino hope to beat Fiorentina and Bologna to Ajax defender Perr Schuurs, claim Sky Sport Italia, by visiting Amsterdam tomorrow.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Granata believe Schuurs is the ideal replacement for Gleison Bremer, who was sold to Juventus for €50m including add-ons.

The 22-year-old Dutchman was a product of the Fortuna Sittard academy, moving to Ajax in 2018.

His contract runs to June 2025 and he is valued at circa €9m.

Fiorentina will go for Schuurs if they sell Nikola Milenkovic, while Bologna have also been linked with the centre-back after Rennes struck a deal for Arthur Theate.

Because of this, Torino want to get the deal done first and are sending representatives to Amsterdam for a meeting on Wednesday.

It is hardly the first time that Schuurs has been linked with a potential move to Serie A, as he was on Napoli’s radar last year.

Ajax are prepared to sell, because he had a recurring calf injury last season that stalled his progress.
