Former Italy star Luca Toni insists Dusan Vlahovic will be the best striker in the coming years along with Erling Haaland, so the Bianconeri should keep hold of the Serbia international despite the interest from Manchester United.

Reports in the UK suggest the Red Devils are following Vlahovic, who joined Juventus in January for €80m from Fiorentina.

He is currently out of action due to a groin injury, so he won’t be involved in today’s match against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi.

“Vlahovic can’t be discussed, he is young and so strong, potentially the best striker in the future along with Erling Haaland,” Toni told Gazzetta.

“Injuries happen, but if I were Juventus, I’d keep hold of someone like him. He will always score goals,” the 2006 Italy World Cup winner continued.

“Vlahovic needs no advice, he has already proved his quality. This year, he seems more serene when he doesn’t score.”

Vlahovic has bagged eight goals in 15 appearances with Juventus this season, six in Serie A and two in the Champions League.

His contract at the Allianz Stadium runs out in June 2026.

Toni, a former Juventus and Verona striker, is one of the most iconic forwards in the history of Serie A.

He netted just two goals in 15 appearances with the Bianconeri but became Serie A’s Capocannoniere with Verona in 2014-15, scoring 22 goals in 38 matches.
